Regarding my beloved degenerate fan activities I come from performing in hardcore/beatdown bands, I was doing that before I was ever touring as Nimda. A lot of the energy that you hear in my music and on stage comes from that. Recently heavy dubstep has evolved a lot in this direction, and we’ve been seeing much more aggressive moshing which is sick and can be so much fun and actually can be perfectly safe. BUUUUUT This only works if EVERYONE is having fun. Everyone, whether they’re moshing or not, needs to feel welcome and safe at shows. If you’re moshing, you have a responsibility. Look out for those around you. Control what you’re doing. If someone isn’t moshing, they are NOT part of it. You can do unhinged shit to your friends who are partaking, but don’t drag people in, don’t swing at people who didn’t sign up for it. (and please no more staplers lmao). A lot of you have seen videos of people throwing fists at HC shows, it’s NORMAL at those shows. In Dubstep however, we need to respect that not everyone wants that. This is music and it’s for everyone. There’s only so much I can see from the stage, so you need to look out for each other. I will always want my sets to be unhinged, but I also want EVERYONE to have fun, whether they’re moshing or not. That matters. - Barney 🖤

This person is implying that I put marginalized people in danger, and so I deserve to feel danger. They believe this because Mike tells them I am far right. A lot of you guys, I assume, get most all of your information about me from Mike and every other creator jockeying for attention from Hasan. A lot of you guys get your information from Destiny hardcore anti-fans, who are some of the most obsessed and untethered people on the internet. You’re told that I align politically with people like Asmongold. That I am basically a Republican. That I support genocide and pedophilia and hate trans people and so on. Anyone who is actually familiar with my views would hear something like these claims and laugh it off as sarcasm. It is that absurd. On policy I am probably to the left of 90% of the country, but I’m a pragmatist first so I don’t delude myself into thinking everyone thinks as I do or can be easily persuaded into my views. I value winning elections over ideology. I’m no longer angry because people do not think the way I think. Basically I grew up. And a lot of you guys have probably become so radicalized that you genuinely do regard progressive liberals as reactionaries, as obstacles to class consciousness and revolution. You think you’re fighting a war to end capitalism. So through that lens, you genuinely do regard me as far right. It’s all pretty silly. People that have been radicalized to that extreme view of politics represent probably <1% of the population, but your space behaves like digital terrorists that brigade and harass people more than MAGA per capita tbh, so most creators have no desire to spar with you. I don’t even fault people for not wanting to deal with you. Here’s what I can guarantee with 1000% certainty: I am going to continue to vote for and support Democratic Party candidates. I am going to continue prioritizing the threat I believe the Republican Party has become. I will vote straight ticket democrat in Nov, in 2028, in every special election, indefinitely. You guys do not make a right wing shift appealing to me, despite my mentions blowing up with right wingers rolling out the welcome mat. I’m old as fuck and I’ve had a long time to establish what I actually believe in and why I believe those things. I hope you snap out of it at some point. Most of you are probably young and will look back on this time in your life with cringe at some point. I definitely did. A lot of you guys are probably GONE gone and I’m sure that’s not fun for the people around you. I hope those people find a way out. I assume that all of this posturing gives you a sense of community and belonging, or is an attempt to feel some semblance of control over things you are powerless to stop. Most of the time, I don’t take it personally because I know who I am and what that is does not at all resemble whatever story you’ve told yourself about me. Admittedly though, I do take it personally when obvious death threats from pathetic, disgusting bullies (that most people spot immediately) are encouraged or hand-waived.

To be clear this is them replying to posts about Mike’s obvious incitement, defending his suggestion that death might be an appropriate punishment for me. They really do believe this because Mike (and another notable gigantic leftist streamer) constantly makes INSANE accusations about me. Check the replies to this post in a few hours. You’ll probably see more of these kinds of replies below. He tells them that I rabidly support Israel and support genocide against Palestinians. Disgusting lie. I was learning about the establishment of the state of Israel and the plight of Palestinians 20 fucking years ago. I was getting 90% of my info about these topics from devouring Noam Chomsky books and listening to his recorded lectures I would download from kazaa or whatever. Me saying that Hamas are awful has never, ever meant that I regard all Palestinians as such. Me questioning what language we use to describe the violence and death in Gaza has never meant that I think that civilians deserve such violence. Of course I want the bombing, occupation, and subjugation to end. He tells them that I align politically and ideologically with fucking MAGA. A particularly absurd lie. My focus on critiquing the left these days is at its core an attempt to stop what I consider blatant smears on prominent democrats and the party more broadly, because I regard Trump and MAGA as a literal existential threat. Straight ticket Democratic Party voter for my entire life and that will not change. Now he is telling his audience that I support Rogers over El-Sayed, while watching a video of me saying I want El-Sayed to win. I want his campaign to make better decisions so we don’t lose a US Senate seat in a race that should be a cake walk in the current climate. I want future US senate candidates to avoid the same mistakes we are all seeing. You can disagree with me about whether or not these are actual mistakes. That’s fine. But I tell my audience I’d vote for him in MI. That I want him to win. I donated to his campaign and that wasn’t some dishonest and performative action. I want democrats to defend that seat. He tells them that I am a frequent Destiny collaborator, so all of their hatred of Destiny can be transferred equally to me. Destiny and I overlap on a lot of things, but I have never been shy about when I think he goes too far. I have had these conversations publicly and privately. I spar with him and his community *extremely* often, privately and publicly. None of that matters. Mike knows the guilt by association lie is an easy way for him to motivate his audience to attack me by showing up in my mentions and repeating his lies. All of these lies add up. If all you know about me comes from the lies he says constantly on his stream, and you had already become radicalized in today’s political climate, I guess it would make sense to think that death might be an appropriate punishment. But Mike knows that people will have that reaction. That is the entire point. He’s a genuinely pathetic bully, and he took things way too far with this incredibly obvious incitement.

Folks! I'm a big boy. I do not care if whatever disagreement you have with me leads to insults. It is difficult to hurt my feelings at this point in my life. But telling your audience, in THIS climate, that they have a moral obligation to murder me is obviously unacceptable.
