Officers try it again, but fail

👏 @GuyPoultney: You have hundreds of people saying there is existing harm & that this will make it worse, & the council has no evidence to suggest that they’re wrong. How is the officer’s report still recommending approval?
If @BristolTreeFora submit an FOI, you can bet it's important.
But then
"Regulation 6(1)(b) is not an exception, and cannot justify withholding information"
"The response misreads my request"
"The response contradicts the Council's own earlier disclosure"

An important piece about our libraries.
"The council says the plan involves no cuts.. A finance report on Monday’s agenda tells a different story. The library budget has already fallen by £182,000 this year, and savings on library staff are partly covering an overspend in parks."
The equality assessment says “there are no proposals for change”.
Residents get a say on “proposed libraries and opening hours” in March 2027. The strategy is due to be decided in January.

Good to see the planning committee stick to their guns and refuse this despite planning officers being unhelpful in drawing up reasons for refusal, plus Cllr Alexander & Cllr Eddy doing their double-act

So the ex-Mayor's 20-year partnership with Vattenfall lasted 3 years?
🤔
Cllr Tony Dyer did not chair @BristolCouncil Strategy & Resources Policy Committee meeting today (12 Oct) because he was in Geneva, Switzerland, attending the 6th United Nations Forum of Mayors.

Dyer and Rees are morphing into the same person. How soon until we get rid of council leaders?
