.@JoshShapiroPA and I are working hard to make child care more affordable and accessible across our Commonwealth. In our first term, we’ve provided funding for recruitment and retention for child care workers and tripled the Child Care Tax Credit — because every Pennsylvania family deserves to have the support they need.

Too many working families across our Commonwealth are struggling to get by, and the policies coming from Republicans in Washington D.C. are driving up the prices of everything. But Governor Shapiro and I are fighting back — we’ve cut taxes 10 times to put money back into your pockets. And by flipping the U.S. House and electing a Democratic trifecta in Harrisburg this November, we can do even more to lower costs in Pennsylvania.

Every Pennsylvanian deserves to be safe and feel safe in their community — and I won’t ever stop working to make that a reality across our Commonwealth.

For every dollar that the Commonwealth invests in our main streets and small businesses, we see $8 in return — that’s a huge return on investment that goes directly into local economies. I was proud to be in Somerset Borough today who will see a $350,000 state investment to revitalize their downtown and protect historic properties.

Today I joined Democratic leaders from across our Commonwealth at the Pennsylvania Democratic Party’s State Committee. Folks here are fired up and ready to keep up the work to elect Democrats up and down the ballot this November.

I was proud to join the Workers United, SEIU in Harrisburg this morning. Pennsylvania’s workers have always had my back, and as long as I’m your Lieutenant Governor, I will always fight to protect the union way of life here in the Commonwealth.

Workforce development is a strong keystone of our economic plan for Pennsylvania. Since we took office, our administration has registered over 250 new apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship programs and has enrolled over 19,500 new apprentices.   I got to visit the @EASCarpenters Training Facility in Northeast Philadelphia yesterday – who learn everything from cabinetry to underwater welding – and hear from the apprentices and teachers speak on their experiences becoming master craftsmen.

We’re investing in both law enforcement and community-based violence prevention programs in the Commonwealth — because public safety is a team effort. Governor Shapiro and I are focused on building safer communities — because everyone deserves to feel safe and be safe in the place they call home.

This weekend, folks across our Commonwealth are getting out in their communities and talking with their neighbors about everything that’s at stake this November.
