I’ve actually taken my time to study women on this app and I won’t lie, since this year I started consuming Twitter way more than I used to. And honestly, the amount of posts I’ve seen from Nigerian women that are just about men is crazy. How men should treat them, what men should provide, what men can’t afford, relationship issues, sex, showing body and endless gender wars. If they’re not talking about men, it’s sometimes about how expensive they are or how men can’t afford them. Where are the conversations about your achievements? Your business? Your degree? A scholarship you won? A product you created? A company you built? Something you’re actually proud of? I know there are plenty intelligent and hardworking Nigerian women, but Twitter NG will make you wonder sometimes because the loudest conversations are rarely about those things. Maybe it’s just what the algorithm keeps showing me, but damn, I’ve noticed it.

One thing I’ve noticed about trading: There’s the trader you present online, and there’s the trader you become when nobody is watching. Online, you’re patient. You “wait for confirmation.” You “risk 1%.” You “follow your plan.” Then the market opens, your first setup misses, and suddenly you’re negotiating with yourself over a trade that doesn’t even exist. That private version of you is the one that actually determines whether you’ll make it.
