The formal launch of biobased biodegradable PLA plastic, in the presence of Dr. Jitendra Singh, marked an important step forward in our PLA journey. 💡 A ₹75 crore BioE3 grant from BIRAC will support our 100 TPA PLA Co-Polymer R&D facility at Kumbhi, Uttar Pradesh, enabling advanced PLA research, product development and scale-up towards commercial production. A significant step forward for more sustainable flexible packaging. 🌱 Balrampur Chini Mills’ Bioyug BOPLA laminates have successfully passed CIPET testing protocols for Paan Masala and Gutkha packaging applications, with BCML among just two manufacturers in India to have cleared the requirements for these applications. The laminates deliver moisture and aroma barrier properties and are also TÜV certified for Food Migration and NIS Standards. ✅ Now, we’re inviting converters, packaging manufacturers and brand owners to explore Bioyug BOPLA laminates across applications including Gutkha and Paan Masala sachets.
