The Voice of ADA Holders is live. 🗳️ DReps and stake pools have a vote in Cardano governance. The holders who lend them that power have had no place to say what they think. Now they do, on the chain itself. Every governance action is a question. Answer yes, no or no opinion from your own wallet, with a small transaction under metadata label 1695, signed with your stake key. No account, no login, no database. The chain records who answered and when. Cost: the network fee, about 0.18 ADA. Who counts: every stake key registered before the action was submitted. No minimum ADA, no DRep needed. One wallet, one voice. The ADA behind the answers is shown as a check against fake wallets; it does not count. This is not an official vote. It makes visible what ADA holders think, for DReps, stake pools and everyone else to see. The site is a window, not the source: every figure can be recounted from the chain. English and Spanish. Tested with Eternl, Gero, Lace, Typhon and VESPR. 👉 voiceofadaholders.com #Cardano #CardanoGovernance #ADA @Cardano_CF @Cardano @Cardano_event Open source (Apache-2.0): github.com/GS1973/voice-of-a… CIP draft: github.com/cardano-foundatio…

Raising stakePoolTargNum has an interesting effect on pledge viability. Currently the optimal pool size requires about 75M ADA which is a lot. But by raising it to 1000, the optimal pool size shrinks to about 37.5M ADA, which is twice as attainable. And there are only ~123 pools that would be negatively affected by this change (and they can easily offset it by increasing fees) For well-pledged pools, this actually results in MORE rewards! Right now these rewards are flowing back to the reserve because so few people are taking advantage of the pledge benefit. Read both perspectives from the documents Alex links below and don't forget to vote!
SPOs! It is time to voice your opinion on HALVING the pool saturation, and INCREASING the effect of pledge. Looking at some recent data: Raising k to 1000 would mean 209 pools, representing 12.5b ada total (or 60% of total active stake), become over-saturated. At least 89 of those are "private" and can seemingly re-arrange assets trivially to a second pool. Thus, at most 123 pools are 'actually' affected and if none of them would act, they would lose 27% of staking rewards for their delegators on average. This creates a game theoretical inefficiency where those that stake with a "good" pool, are rewarded more, theoretically driving a strong (~30% incentive) to migrate to an unsaturated pool. Read much more facts and opinions in this document created by @Cerkoryn, @intuitionismRus, and many more behind the scenes: docs.google.com/document/d/1… THEN VOTE! There wont be a better second chance than this one, as you have to rely on DReps to make the actual decision. Because the currently live Action is an Info Action, no votes directly change a protocol parameter. Raising k would require a Parameter Update governance action, which may or may not be submitted, with any results within this info action, at anyone’s discretion.

This Single Metric Breaks The Cardano $5 ADA Thesis Cardano (ADA) is pumping, but is the path to a $5 ADA in serious jeopardy? In today’s video, we break down the critical on-chain metric threatening Cardano’s long-term price targets: on-chain fees currently cover just 0.7% of staking rewards as network activity slides 72%. Despite recent double-digit ADA price gains and heavy whale accumulation, structural headwinds loom large. We break down the ongoing Cardano Treasury governance vote, the recent security breach of the Cardano IOG YouTube channel, Charles Hoskinson’s Bitcoin DeFi integration thesis, EVM adoption, and critical technical analysis price targets for ADA. Timestamps 00:00 - Why the $5 Cardano ADA thesis is in trouble 01:36 - ADA price jump and the 11.8M Treasury vote 03:00 - How staking to single stake pools protects decentralization 04:22 - Cardano IOG YouTube hacked: Why YubiKeys are vital 07:17 - Can Cardano actually capture Bitcoin’s $1.6T DeFi liquidity? 10:08 - Short-term profit taking vs. whale accumulation on ADA 10:35 - The single metric: On-chain activity slides 72% 11:36 - ADA technical analysis: $0.23 resistance vs. $0.20 support

Fellow SPOs, I’ve submitted a new Info Action: “Should stakePoolTargetNum (k) be raised from 500 to 1000? (SPO poll)” This action builds on earlier work by Cerkoryn and the Parameter Committee, whose work in developing the background and bringing this question forward I explicitly acknowledge and appreciate. Where I took a different approach was the polling methodology. After the discussions over the past few days, I did not see a path toward a common voting methodology that I could support. I therefore decided to submit an alternative version using the established CIP-1694 voting semantics. Under the established CIP-1694 semantics, registered SPO stake that does not vote behaves like a No vote. I personally see that as a legitimate part of the existing governance design. If the community believes this should work differently, I think that deserves a broader discussion about SPO governance rather than changing the interpretation for this particular highly contentious parameter poll. My aim was to create a neutral, standalone SPO poll. The action presents substantive arguments both for and against the change, explains how the result should be interpreted, and documents its provenance. This also follows the broader principle on establishing SPO mandates that I previously set out in CAP 10: cap.intersectmbo.org/#/detai… Please read the full action, make up your own mind, and vote: adastat.net/governances/f6fd…

A parameter change GA to raise stakePoolTargetNum to 1000 will be submitted after the minPoolCost one is finished. It will stick to the exact CIP-1694 semantics and Constitutional requirements that only needs 67% of active DRep voting power in support.

#Daedalus #Cardano @therealdisasm The problem with Daedalus is, that it does not support decentralization. It supports the ones that already have a shitload of stake.
