I think this shift has come simultaneously with my general outlook on music, I don’t really feel like this day and age calls for pretty melodies and polished sounds. I’ve started to crave the fringes where things start falling apart, or where the droning kick becomes relentless yet still hypnotic. My setup is limited in sound palette, but I try to make up for it in drive and motion.
