It's always a mystery tweet! Who is attacking the tankers - the US Navy/army, IRGC or Houthi's? Or is it somebody else?

When will we learn? This war is clearly far from a real conclusion.

Another one tried IRGC and failed. The Kazimah III is a Kuwait-flagged VLCC owned by Kuwait Oil Tanker Company (KOTC). The crew somehow walks away fine.

A tanker was struck by an unknown projectile in the Strait of Hormuz on the evening of 1 October, and a fire broke out on board. The crew was reported safe. The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations said it received a third-party report at about 17:50 UTC. The notice, Warning 147-26, did not name the ship, the flag, or who fired. Damage and any environmental impact were still unknown when the alert went out. Shipping security firm Vanguard Tech identified the vessel as the Kuwait-flagged very large crude carrier Kazimah III, owned by Kuwait Oil Tanker Company. Iranian media described a supertanker of about 2.5 million barrels capacity hit roughly 8 kilometres off the Omani coast while using what Tehran calls an unauthorized southern route. The strike is the latest in a run of attacks on commercial shipping in the strait. September alone saw at least 16 incidents, mostly against tankers, including four in a single day on 28–29 September. UKMTO has counted at least 13 vessels hit by projectiles or fragments since 10 September. No group has claimed the 1 October hit. The attacks sit inside the US–Iran war that began in late February. Washington says oil is still moving through the waterway. Shipping monitors keep the threat level at severe and warn that further strikes on commercial vessels remain likely. seatrade-maritime.com/securi…

The Strait of Hormuz doesn’t need to close to shake the world. Fear alone can move oil, markets and billions in capital. Watch what happens next.

🇮🇷🇴🇲🇬🇧🇺🇸The Strait of Hormuz is becoming a dangerous place for commercial ships. Another tanker has now been struck by an unidentified projectile while transiting the waterway. The crew is reportedly safe, the fire was extinguished, and the ship remained underway. But the fact that another commercial vessel has been hit is what really stands out. And until investigators establish who fired the projectile, there is a very important question hanging over the region: Who is behind these attacks?
