Harry: Uncle Vernon? Vernon: What is it, boy?! Can't you see I'm trying to watch Top Gear?! Harry: this is my friend Luna Lovegood. Vernon: What?! One of your weird friends from that freak school?! Luna: Hello, Mr. Dursley. You have a wonderful home. Harry told me you have a large knowledge of crime statistics and strong opinions on minorities. Would you have time to talk about per capita? Vernon: Oh...oh my, what a charming young lady! Petunia, dearest, we have guests! Could you put the kettle on?! Now Ms. Lovegood, where would you like to start? Luna: We could start with how unfair it is that those hook-nosed goblins hold disproportionate amounts of power in the banking system. Vernon: HAHAHA! well, young lady, they definitely don't like it when you call them that, but you seem to have the right idea!
"I think you're wrong, Hermione." "Abortion is women's healthcare! It's even more civilized in the Magical World!" "Killing your children is not healthcare." "You're just brainwashed by the patriarchy!"

Pt. 2
Vernon: You know, Ms. Granger, I'll never be able to understand it. Hermione: What's that Mr. Dursley? Vernon: Well, you're from a nice ordinary family, dentists or some such, spent your childhood in normal environs. Why would you choose to be so odd? With all of the witchery, I mean? Have you ever tried not being a witch? Hermione: I doesn't work that way, Mr. Dursley. I was born this way. Vernon: That sounds like a dreadfully lazy excuse, young lady. There's lots of freaks and weirdos that claim that they were "born that way" or "that's just the way I am" no, they just don't want to conform to society, I say. Hermione: Mr. Dursley, I don't thin- Vernon: And how do you very well know that perhaps you weren't "hexed" as a child and that's why you're like this now? Or maybe it's just a phase you'll grow out of?

Harry: Sirius, I'm glad to see you aga- Sirius: I wasn't anyone's bitch. Harry: W-what? Sirius: In Azkaban, Harry. I wasn't anyone's bitch. Harry: I-uh-I...umm wasn't going to ask you that Sirius: HARRY! LOOK AT ME! IT'S IMPORTANT TO ME THAT YOU KNOW YOUR GODFATHER WASN'T ANOTHER MAN'S BITCH!

I think my hottest "what else would you change?" take in the Malfoid version of Harry Potter would be having Sirius live. His death is really not in service of much when you get down to it. Having him alive as Harry's father figure the whole way through is better I think and it would add something interesting to the Malfoid x Harry dynamic since Sirius and Malfoid are related.
"On one hand, Hermione is crazy, Harry. She put a grown woman in a jar-Granted she's a journalist but still. That kind of crazy leads to really freaky sex. On the other hand, she's a libtard so chances are high she'll divorce you to 'find herself' with some African men. Malfoy is the much safer option, believe me."

Just got done watching Digger. This move had really strong design elements between the cinematography, the sets, the costuming, etc, and Tom Cruise gives a very strong performance with some moments of enjoyable comedy, but the story is convoluted, the "twist" was very underwhelming, and the story was the must overused nauseating combo of climate change panicanism and worn out political satire tropes. If this came out in 2016 or 2020 media pundits would've gushed over it, but now it just makes one want to sigh and roll your eyes at another annoying liberal climate lecture. Colossal misfire the whole way around. 2/5
‘DIGGER’ is now on track for a $6M–$7M domestic opening weekend. • Budget was $180M • One of the biggest bombs of Tom Cruise’s career

According to Grok, if I were in charge the Japan Bros and the Texas Bros would get to hang out all the time!
According to Grok, if I were in charge, we'd have Gundam-style mechs like Liberty Prime from the Fallout series, with floating holographic green apples, with technocratic megacities everywhere.

Went to go see the new Resident Evil movie. I thought it was pretty alright as a zombie comedy. As a Resident Evil movie it leaves something to be desired. The comedy definitely gets in the way in certain scenes, but Zach Cregger was thinking outside of the box on certain things. There were two scenes specifically where I found myself saying "I can genuinely say, I've never seen this in a zombie movie before." As someone who has been a lifelong RE fan, I saw a bunch hate on this movie as a bad adaptation, and it's definitely missing some pieces, but still is the best Resident Evil movie we've gotten heretofore. I would like to add some context that you might be wondering "why can't they just do a straight adaptation?" The answer to that question is because of the contract that Constantin Films signed with Capcom for the exclusive film rights to the series had a clause as per Capcom that they were not allowed to directly adapt the games because Capcom was worried that if people watched the movie, they wouldn't play the game. That made sense in 2002, not so much in 2026, but it is what it is. I don't know if it's something that I would buy to add to my movie shelf, but I could see this being a fun Halloween picture in the future. Solid 3/5.

Okay, I just got done with Primetime, and I will say, I liked it. The film definitely plays to people who watched To Catch A Predator because there are references to the actual episodes, however the film does lose the line between style and substance around the last 30 minutes. The film can't really tell what it wants to say about Chris. Sometimes he wants to catch predators because he views it as morally right, but also at other times he breaks down and chases bigger payoffs for ratings every time until it starts to be detrimental. The film doesn't portray the pedophiles as sympathetic AT ALL. It has Chris read the chats, it shows them be excited to meet the "kid", and then they get all weepy and beg for mercy like they did in the actual show. Not perfect, they definitely play the ending with the pedophile DA that killed himself as very overly dramatic, and that definitely detracts, but I liked it. I give it a solid 3.5/5, could've been better if they picked style OR substance instead of trying to do a weird hyper-reality thing with it, but Robert Pattinson definitely saves the film from a lower rating.

I'll make burritos every now and then. I typically make California Style burritos which is carne asada, cheese, french fries, and guacamole.
My American brothers and sisters In Japan, I kind of have the image that burritos are something you usually buy at convenience stores. 🌯 But in America, do you usually buy tortillas at the supermarket and make your own burritos with whatever ingredients you like? Or do some people make the tortillas from scratch too? 🤔 Are burritos popular in America? 🌯 I’m curious because I don’t really know what burritos are like in America!
