Who is Gilbert Verdian, the man behind Quant?
Gilbert Verdian (
@gverdian) spent more than 20 years in cybersecurity as a CISO, CIO, and CTO. His resume spans Downing Street, HM Treasury, and the Cabinet Office, as well as Mastercard and HSBC.
In 2015, he started the push for TC307, ISO's committee for blockchain standards, and has led its working group on interoperability.
He founded
@quantnetwork, the firm behind
$QNT, in 2018 after serving as security chief at Vocalink, which runs the UK's Faster Payments system.
This week, The Clearing House (
@TCHtweets) picked Quant to power its On-Chain Money Initiative, a tokenized deposit network for US banks. Banks and other financial institutions can start using it in the first half of 2027.
