What remains after you disconnect a wallet from a dapp? An existing token allowance can remain active. 🔐 For a standard ERC-20 token: Connection → the website's link to your wallet. Allowance → a named spender's permission to move that token, up to the remaining authorized amount. Disconnecting changes the first. To remove the second, revoke the relevant allowance on the correct network and verify that it is zero. The revocation normally needs an on-chain transaction and gas. Check the token contract and spender address as well as the app name. A permission on one network is a separate record from a permission on another. Bitcoin's confirmation counter measures how deeply a transaction sits in the active chain. 🔎 0: no block inclusion yet. 1: included in the latest block. 3: its containing block, plus two later blocks. A rising count means more proof of work has accumulated above the transaction. Changing that history becomes harder, though reorganizations remain possible. Two details matter when reading a payment status: • Block timing varies around a roughly ten-minute average. • The recipient decides how much confirmation depth its workflow requires. A year-end dot in the Fed’s projections is easy to mistake for a scheduled rate move. A failed Ethereum swap can still carry a network fee. ⛽ If the transaction is included onchain and execution reverts, the intended exchange is undone—but computation has already happened. Gas pays for that work. The receipt separates the two results: → Did the swap execute successfully? → How much gas did the attempt use? Gas used × effective gas price gives the execution fee. A pre-broadcast wallet rejection is a different situation. Understanding those two lines explains how a swap can fail while the ETH balance still decreases.
