The question is whether we will build the educational infrastructure to study Bitcoin well. The BEI is here to ensure that is the case.

The first lesson should be: what problem is Bitcoin trying to solve?

A strong Bitcoin curriculum should make students more skeptical, not less. That may sound strange. But serious education does not replace one set of assumptions with another.

BEI is supporting the development of curriculum, research, standards, and serious spaces for inquiry around Bitcoin. If you're interested in supporting that work, follow along.

A good Bitcoin class does not tell students what to think. It gives them the tools to think clearly.

Students should understand money, incentives, custody, scarcity, energy, and tradeoffs before they are asked to make financial decisions.

Bitcoin belongs in the math classroom. For The University of Michigan, this is the case.

A good Bitcoin class should make students more curious, more skeptical, and more prepared.

Bitcoin’s role in computer science is no longer theoretical. The next step is curriculum that helps students understand the system deeply, not just recognize the word.

Bitcoin education fails when it treats every skeptic like an enemy.

Better Bitcoin education creates better builders, better users, better investors, and better critics.

They need frameworks they can use to evaluate every new protocol, company, and claim they encounter.

A Bitcoin curriculum should teach custody, incentives, energy, money, history, and tradeoffs. What are we missing?

The future of Bitcoin education is interdisciplinary.

Good Bitcoin education starts with primary sources. The whitepaper is a great place to begin.

The goal is not to create more holders. The goal is to create more capable thinkers.

Bitcoin does not need easier slogans. It needs better explanations.

This is what serious Bitcoin education looks like: researchers, builders, educators, and institutions asking better questions together.

Bitcoin is not just a financial asset. It is a technological, economic, legal, and social system.

The next phase of Bitcoin adoption will be led by educators, not influencers.
