Prime Day is a good day to remember that Jeff Bezos could afford to sail on his $500 million yacht to his $55 million wedding in Italy to give his wife a $5 million ring because his tax rate is less than 1% & taxpayers pay for the healthcare & food of Amazon’s low-wage workers.

Private health insurers provide health care the same way ticket scalpers provide concert tickets. They don't & just exist to make health care more expensive for no reason other than to put money in their own pockets. Which is why we need #MedicareForAll.

143 Covid cases in Welsh hospitals, 101 were patients who didn’t have it when they were admitted. But who cares right! Covid’s only killed tens of millions & disabled hundreds of millions. It’s not like it’s serious or anything.

Here are the facts: Pennsylvania is experiencing one of the worst measles outbreaks in the country. To date, we have 1,004 cases in 39 of our counties. BUT we are making progress: The Pennsylvania Department of Health and providers across PA administered 53,000 MMR vaccines in September. That’s more than DOUBLE the number of doses administered in an average month. This disease is preventable. I urge Pennsylvanians to talk with a trusted health care provider and make sure you have the best possible information to protect you and your family. Thank you to the Pennsylvanians doing their part to keep their families and their neighbors safe.   For the latest case counts and where to get an MMR vaccine visit the link below. ⬇️

During COVlD waves, it becomes more difficult for people to suppress the deep health anxiety they experience by taking zero precautions against a virus that continues to cause significant morbidity and excess mortality. Pretending adaptive safety responses are OCD or piling on establishments that use precautions are often just manifestations of psychological defense mechanisms. Witnessing so much illness and seeing rational people masking makes their health anxiety bubble up to the surface. The defenses help push that back down to a less conscious level so they can carry on with the status quo. Of course, such individuals are victims too. Nobody would rationally choose that status quo, but it preserves, at least for the near term, entrenched political and financial interests. It's quite troubling to me seeing so many examples of this. It reminds be of reading old psychoanalytic texts as a teen. It was almost unfathomable to me to imagine, say a war veteran, experiencing motor paralysis in their arm as a PTSD reaction to having shot people during WWI. In a lot of these old texts, there was just no societal understanding of psychology at all, so every extreme negative feeling was taboo and largely repressed. It illustrates the power of COVlD that so many people have been forced to revert to a state of psychological awareness witnessed a century ago.

Past crimes must be normalized and those who held criminals accountable must be demonized: the old authoritarian story.
GOP Rep. Moore on Watergate: "Richard Nixon was absolutely couped out of office and was framed. All of this was fake."
Community note
Nixon was not couped, and Watergate was not fake. White House tapes released after a unanimous Supreme Court ruling proved he ordered the cover-up. Facing bipartisan impeachment, Nixon resigned voluntarily, and dozens of officials were convicted. archives.gov/research/inves… oyez.org/cases/1973/73-…

Working thread of published research on COVID 19. Every claim links to a real study. Published, peer-reviewed research from journals like Nature, The Lancet, BMJ, and Nature Medicine. Not speculation, this is what the mainstream science says. Please take it seriously.
