Post Week 5 Division 7 Playoff Update #wisfb - Cochrane-Fountain City backed up their number ranking with a win over number 2 and conference rival, Pepin/Alma. - Iowa-Grant continues to impress, knocking off the main 2 Six Rivers contenders by large margins in back-to-back weeks. Final test is this week against River Ridge before the schedule lightens up, but this team looks all the bit of a contender for a gold ball - We'll figure out more about Shiocton in the next weeks with games against Wittenberg-Birnamwood and Coleman coming up for them. - Cashton and Ithaca/Weston are on a collision course in the Scenic Bluffs. Neither have lost a game on the field, though Ithaca/Weston did take a forfeit loss to Wauzeka-Steuben/Seneca. - Webster is quietly undefeated and has a huge battle against Grantsburg this week, as they look to snap Grantsburg's long conference winning streak in the Lakeland. - Cadott scored a nice surprising win over Boyceville who has been very dominant the last few years. - The bubble falls off pretty hard after 36 teams in D7, but those last few spots are up for grabs. Wauzeka-Steuben/Seneca is hoping that forfeit win over Ithaca/Weston rides them all the way into the playoffs. - Crandon is at 0-5, and their game against Manawa this week feels like a loser leaves town type of game.

Post Week 5 Division 6 Playoff Update #wisfb - Bonduel and Manitowoc Lutheran continue to take care of business are do not have too many super challenging games remaining. - Just last week at this time, Edgar was at 3% odds for a 1 seed. They were able to schedule a replacement game against Milwaukee Riverside, which is massive for their 1 seed odds. Swapping out a 0 win team for a team that will have multiple D1 wins is pretty substantial. Coach Sinz also picked up his 500th win. - Regis finally got burned after playing with fire for too long. Tough games still remain for the Ramblers against Fall Creek and Mondovi, so they'll have to get back on track. - The SWAL remain ultra competitive behind Darlington. There's many teams that can make a run, but it'll depend on how the bracket shakes out for them. - The bubble cutline remains pretty wide open. Stealing an upset win can help teams separate themselves from that group.

Post Week 5 Division 5 Playoff Update #wisfb - Lake Country Lutheran dropped a tight battle to St. Cat's which now makes it possible for them to drop to a 2 seed. - Durand-Arkansaw beat Regis, something that they have not done in a long long time, and have started their ascent upwards. They still have difficult games remaining with Elk Mound, Fall Creek, and then Mondovi in Week 9. They'll be a team to keep an eye on. - Mayville suffered a pretty surprising loss to Campbellsport as things are now pretty wide open in the Flyway. Winnebago Lutheran picked up a nice win over cross town rival, St. Mary's Springs. - Arcadia moves to 4-1, knocking an undefeated Luther team. Games still remain against Aquinas and West Salem, so we'll see if they are able to challenge the usual Coulee contenders. - Columbus drops to 0-5, something that no one expected before the year. The wins surely have to start coming, right? With how weak the D5 bubble is, it may only take 2 or 3 wins for Columbus to sneak in, but they will need to start playing better either way.
