At UNFCCC #ClimateWeek4 in Baku, we continued the Baku Dialogue on Water for Climate Action, launched at #COP29 to ensure that water remains an integral part of the climate agenda from one COP to the next. Pleased to join the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences event on the sidelines of #BCAW2026, dedicated to “Green Intelligence: From Climate Change to Socio-Economic Processes”. We had the opportunity to listen to and exchange views with distinguished academicians, scientists and experts from across the scientific and academic community on the many dimensions of climate change and the role of science in shaping effective responses. Another important event held on the sidelines of #BCAW2026 was the Local Conference of Youth (LCOY) Azerbaijan 2026 at ADA University, organized by the EkoSfera Ecological-Social Center. Connected to YOUNGO, the official youth constituency of the UNFCCC, LCOY brings young people closer to the wider international climate process. Young people need accurate knowledge of climate change and its impacts, as well as the skills and opportunities to contribute to solutions and participate meaningfully in climate action. #BCAW2026
