Had to quote this because for once it's not a slop PNL on my timeline for once.
REALIZE YOUR GAINS AND STICK TO YOUR RULES.
Zeroing out once, it happens.
But doing it multiple times is a problem.
Make rules and stick to them, whether that's not sizing, only buying 4 sol xyz. Find what works for you and do it.
Take your Solana, put it on a ledger and invest into real world assets. Triple T is not a real world asset.
Put some money into the stock market, it will help you sleep better at night.
when i got into this space in 2024 i loaded $300 into SOL & ran it up to around $70k in a few months
i promptly gave it all back. revenge traded $70,000 back to a few hundred dollars. i felt fucking awful
from there, i locked in & turned my few hundred bucks into $300k
guess what happened next?
i traded that back down to $5,000
i did some version of that dance several more times. im stubborn & apparently dont learn my lessons the first time
the feeling of working so hard to build a portfolio then burning it all down is miserable. it can happen so fast too
you dont even realize what the hell youre doing until you look up & all of your hard work is gone
you feel worthless. how did i let this happen? what the fuck did i even do?
the money never feels real until you lose it. but it stings when it’s gone
anyways, after zeroing out several times i knew something had to change
for me, getting capital out of my trading wallets helped a lot. cold storage, offramping into long term stock portfolios, anything that kept me from having easy access to large sums while tilted
when i made money, i had rules for moving some of it somewhere safe & out of reach
i believed if id ran up decent sums before, i could do it again, and i was right
i built my port to around a $2m ATH in 2025
im down a good chunk from ATH, as i imagine most of us who have heavy exposure to crypto are, & have been slowly clawing back through the bear
i still have a tendency to tilt & revenge trade. i havent fixed it completely, ive just gotten much better at recognizing when its happening & stopping before it gets way worse
obviously i wish i kept all the money i made when i was getting started, but i learned lessons i dont think i couldve learned any other way
i wouldnt be in the position i am today without those wild swings & losing it all multiple times
figure out what works for you. set rules you can actually follow. learn how to control your emotions & never stop improving.
being a good trader means constantly learning, adapting & getting better
many ppl cant run it up in the first place
if you’ve done it before, you can do it again, and you can learn how to keep it
