I will always believe with a QB, Chris Ballard is a top 3 GM in football. I do think that the 3 things that plagued him is: Being TOO connected emotionally with contract decisions. Being too safe and shying away from Character Risk. Most of his draft picks are more about the run game on both sides of the ball in this modern era.

I would add: - QB evaluation sucks - Edge rusher evaluation sucks worse - WR evaluation is mid - Poor salary cap management (constantly leaving space when you have gaping roster deficiencies is inexcusable)

I think he was a little to trade happy with 1s and the draft classes kinda started going down hill since 23 but overall in his 10 years he’s been about a C+ gm he build a good foundation for majority of his tenure but we never had any true A+ players at true impact positions
