I'm a 2016 ARMY, so I have been around for a while & have been through a lot of bullshit, but still here & still not gonna put up with the bullshitππ½
For me calling yourself ARMY means you love all 7 members of BTS. It's okay to have a bias or even a whole-ass bias line. But, if you want to be welcomed in my space, loving all 7 members of BTS is a non-negotiable. OT7 always.
TBH, having a large number of followers kinda stresses me out π₯΄Iβm not here for a follower count, Iβm just here to scream about my love for Bangtan.
I keep my account open because over the years I recognize that having a platform that can counter the misinformation campaign BTS ANTI's run constantly has become increasingly important.
When I share a post or a video, I try my hardest to provide information on where the primary source can be found. ARMY are some of the best archivists I have ever seen and am proud to be able to do my bit to keep that tradition alive.
You will see me regularly crying over my husband HobiπΏ for no other reason than simply bc he exists as the most perfect human being on the face of this planetππ and simping over NamYoonJin π¨π±πΉ my ultimate wreckers. I thoroughly enjoy watching the chaos on my TL caused by my best friends for life, the Bangtan Maknaes.

Dear Global Citizens,
Due to the extreme weather forecast for New York City this weekend, we have made the difficult decision, in consultation with the City of New York and NYC Parks,
to cancel this yearβs Global Citizen Festival.
Forecasts predict dangerous conditions and circumstances in which we cannot safely bring tens of thousands of Global Citizens, artists, crew, vendors, partners, and staff onto the Great Lawn, let alone all of the equipment required. Safety has to come first. This is the first time in 14 years weβve had to cancel. We have spent this week working through countless contingencies, which were ultimately not possible, and cancelling is a decision we have not taken lightly.

The thing is, I can understand that other groupβs PR manager. I would have looked at that balcony, looked at the crowd, looked at the footage from BTSβ May visit, and said βAbso-fucking-lutely NOT. Get back in the blackout tinted cars! Weβre gonna say you were never here.β
This isnβt even me being petty. This is basic reputation management. Sometimes the best thing you can do for your artists is recognise when a particular visual is going to do them absolutely no favours and keep them the fuck away from it.
You do not voluntarily recreate a moment where the comparison with BTS is going to be this PAINFULLY and frankly EMBARRASSINGLY obvious. That is not setting your artists up for success. That is setting them up to become a meme.
