Some creators are suddenly receiving thousands of dollars through X Money from tokens they never launched. It looks bizarre, but the mechanism is pretty simple. UsePaid lets someone launch a token, including on pump.fun, and direct its creator fees to an X account. UsePaid collects those fees, converts the recipient share into dollars, and sends it through X Money. The recipient doesn't need to sign up, approve the token, or even know it exists. That also means the payment can function as an attention mechanism. You see unexpected money, ask where it came from, post about the token, and suddenly you've given it exposure. UsePaid itself says recipients aren't required to acknowledge the payment or promote the token. You can simply receive it and say nothing. There's also an opt-out if you don't want future payments. I'd be very careful about publicly engaging with a token you didn't create or approve. Free money is nice. Accidentally becoming the marketing campaign is less nice.
