We've funded new speed awareness signs to encourage motorists to slow down and help keep our communities safe. Drivers travelling within the speed limit will be greeted with a smiley face or a thank you, while those exceeding the limit will receive a reminder to slow down.

While we’re not the highway authority, we’re supporting efforts to reduce speeds in areas of the borough with high levels of vehicle and pedestrian traffic. The signs will move to different locations every two weeks to help encourage safer driving across the borough.
