I hate it when people say things like, 'Yeah, I'll do it tomorrow,' 'I got you in 30 minutes,' 'I'll pay tonight,' or 'I'll hit you up in a couple of hours,' and then completely disappear for weeks, only to come back with endless excuses. Look, I get it—sometimes even I tell people, 'I'll get your edit done tomorrow' and end up missing the deadline. But at least I keep them updated and explain why I need another two or three days instead of ghosting. People just straight-up lie. Instead of saying 'I'll do it soon,' just say, 'I'll let you know when I can, but I can't promise a specific time.' That way, we aren't sitting around waiting and clearing our schedules for people who don't respect our time.
