Back when I was a content creator, I ran a few legitimate giveaways here on X, and one thing I noticed almost immediately was just how many bot followers came with them.
Recently, I found a paid service that claims it can remove bot followers from your account.
Their argument is that if most of your followers are real, a higher percentage of them will actually engage with your posts. In theory, that tells the X algorithm the post is worth showing to more people.
The downside? I’d probably lose around 75% of my followers, AND I’d have to pay someone to remove them.
For the handful of real people who still see my posts… would you do it?
I’m leaning toward yes.
