Los Angeles is the entertainment capital of the world, and I will always fight to keep productions and good-paying union jobs right here at home.  I want to thank Assemblymember Rick Zbur and Senator Ben Allen, the principal authors of AB 186, along with the Motion Picture Association, and the Entertainment Union Coalition, for their leadership and partnership in urgently advancing this legislation and securing this important relief before the close of the legislative session on Monday.  This legislation protects California’s Film and Television Tax Credit Program that we worked aggressively to expand to drive productions back to Los Angeles. I’m calling on the State Legislature to pass this measure on Monday and for Governor Newsom to sign it into law.  Our work does not stop here.
