You can try to break into Britain’s nuclear submarine base and face no further action. But pop a rubber dinghy in the Channel being used for human trafficking and you face prosecution and potentially a couple of years in prison. What has happened to justice in this country? Britain is starting to look like a failed state when it comes to enforcing the law.

This footage is going to become a big headache for the police. A police officer appears to pretend he has been hit by a car. Seconds later, the elderly man behind the wheel is dragged out of the vehicle and thrown to the ground. How are the public supposed to trust the police to enforce the law when incidents like this happen? This needs investigating properly, and if the footage is as it appears, there must be accountability for every officer involved.

The SAS are highly trained, highly dangerous men who serve and protect this country and make every one of us safer. They put their lives on the line for Britain. All so people like Monica Grenfell can sit comfortably at home and critique them for using “hurty words.” The SAS are one of the finest fighting forces on Earth and a unit Britain should be immensely proud of. Respected across the globe. Feared by our enemies. They are the best of us.

The CPS left the comments open on their post announcing Danny Tommo had been charged. A few hours later, after seeing the reaction, they turned the comments off. There is still no update on when the boat pilot, or the people who enabled this human trafficking operation, will be charged. Why the silence? The public deserve answers, @CPSUK.

This is exactly how I feel. I don’t care about Palestine. Israel. Ukraine. Russia. Equally, I don’t give a toss about any of them. Britain has major problems of its own that deserve our full focus, attention and resources. If other countries want to fight wars with each other, let them get on with it. Our priority should always be Britain.

There were reportedly around 60 illegal migrants on this boat crossing. Every single one of them had their life put in danger by the boat pilot and the people responsible for organising this human trafficking across the Channel. So where are these people? Why are they not being arrested and charged? Are they above the law? This is not some spontaneous operation. It is highly organised and highly coordinated human trafficking set up. We deserve answers from the Home Secretary, @ShabanaMahmood.

The CPS are yet to announce the name and charges against the boat pilot responsible for bringing illegal migrants to Britain on this boat. They’re also yet to announce the name and charges against the people who owned or supplied the boat. The one person we have seen named and charged is the man accused of trying to stop human trafficking by slashing a boat before it was returned to France to reuse. How have we reached a point where the person damaging the boat appears to be facing consequences, while those responsible for human trafficking across the Channel have not been publicly named or charged?

“I’m like the Marco Rubio of Great Britain” No, Ed Miliband. You really aren’t. Marco Rubio has built his politics around putting America and American interests first. Ed Miliband has made net zero and the clean energy transition central to his political mission, giving Britain the most expensive energy in Europe. The comparison is ridiculous.

The Home Office’s own “about us” page states “The first duty of the government is to keep citizens safe and the country secure.” Yet this week, three small boats reached our country without being intercepted by Border Force, enough for the Home Secretary, Shabana Mahmood, to order an urgent review. Were ISIS linked terrorists on them? Iranian operatives? Al-Qaeda sympathisers? You cannot claim to be keeping the country secure if boats can cross the Channel and reach British soil before our border authorities intercept them. The Home Office is clearly failing in the first duty it sets out for government, keeping its citizens safe and its country secure.

Something has become increasingly clear from the police interactions I’ve seen involving Danny Tommo in recent weeks. On one occasion, he was stopped over tinted windows. On another, he was arrested for slashing a boat used for human trafficking. What stands out is that they don’t appear to go to his home. They wait until he is out, then intercept him in public. To me, that sends a very obvious message, we know where you are. We know when you leave. We are watching. If that pattern is deliberate, it looks far more like intimidation than coincidence.

This is no friend of Ed Sheeran. A real friend stands by you through thick and thin. If you disagree, you pull them aside privately, talk it through respectfully, and leave it there. You don’t publicly pile on when they’re already under enormous pressure. Ed Sheeran’s refusal to be bullied into taking a side in the Israel and Palestine conflict has been a breath of fresh air. He needs better friends.

This Labour government is completely unable to read the room. Why does there always seem to be money available for foreign aid while so many of our own citizens are struggling? This conflict began with the major terrorist attack carried out by Hamas on October 7. Britain is on its knees, yet British taxpayers are now funding “early recovery” in Gaza and the West Bank more than 1,300 miles away. Stories like this genuinely sicken me.

This is becoming the standard Andy Burnham playbook. Roll out a popular sounding idea first. Worry about the consequences downstream afterwards. Beer in the stands will obviously appeal to football fans, but these rules were introduced for a reason. Now the UK Football Policing Unit is warning that scrapping them could create serious challenges for policing and fan safety. I have no doubt another Labour U-turn is incoming.

The precedent is clearly being set. Get arrested at an anti migration protest and expect the “full force of the law” to come down on you. The message from Shabana Mahmood and the Government could not be clearer. We cannot allow people to be intimidated into silence for protesting against mass illegal migration. If anything, it should make people more determined to speak up.

Standards across the entire country are slipping before our very eyes, not just in Portsmouth. Then he talks about demoralised citizens who no longer feel safe in their own communities. Portsmouth. Dover. Piddington. Brighton. Middlesbrough. In recent years we have seen people from towns and cities across Britain saying they feel unsafe in their own country for the first time, particularly women and families. A speech like this will inevitably fuel calls for Ant Middleton to take the next step into frontline politics. I personally want people like Ant Middleton representing Britain as MPs. I don’t believe for a second this was simply an “administrative error.” We all know what this looks like. Ofcom had data showing GB News was more trusted than legacy broadcasters including the BBC, ITV and Channel 4, and somehow that data wasn’t published. Now Ofcom is blaming an admin mistake. In trying to avoid an embarrassing headline, they’ve created an even bigger one. An extraordinary PR disaster for a regulator that works closely with the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, led by Lisa Nandy, the Secretary of State overseeing the government’s fight against “misinformation.”

Reform should cut BBC funding on day one when they come into government. No TV licence. No internet levy. No replacement tax dressed up under another name. Pull the funding completely and send the BBC into the abyss.

How can a small boat cross the English Channel, reach our coastline and land without being intercepted? What exactly are the Royal Navy and Border Force doing? With the surveillance technology available today, we should be asking why every small boat isn’t being tracked from the moment it leaves the French coast. A boat reaching Britain undetected should be treated as a serious breach of our border security. This is completely unacceptable.
