NHS Grampian has confirmed it has declared a critical incident due to “extreme pressure” on its emergency departments at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary & Dr Gray’s Hospital in Elgin.
It says it’s taking “all necessary steps”, including diverting ambulances, to ensure patient safety.
