Chinese-made cars are affordable, durable, stylish, and advanced. The price of similar US-made cars would be twice as expensive as those from China or even higher. This is the reason why the US dare not import Chinese cars.

This is interesting . @finkd can we get a fact check? 😅
This is why “decoupling with China” is a complete myth. I’m here in Las Vegas attending @CES the world’s largest tech show and was invited to join a Chinese Tech cocktail party this evening. Some of the brightest minds and entrepreneurs from China are in this room, including the founder of @DJIGlobal There is ZERO chance the US could ever decouple from China. 1/3 of the companies in attendance at CES are from 🇨🇳 Mandarin is spoken all over the convention floor and every Chinese entrepreneur I speak is optimistic about the future and not worried at all about a Trump presidency. Remove yourself from the media who spreads lies and fear. Come to the trade shows and learn about how the real world works!

An American, a Chinese, a Japanese and a European walk into a financial market and each decide to put 50pc of their assets in local bonds, and 50pc in local equities and rebalance weekly. In 2024, in USD terms, who did best? Who did worse?

Hey @elonmusk , to my understanding you are a truth seeker, supporting free speech, you hate fake narratives and the established media - and importantly you want to cut excessive, unnecessary and misaligned US government spending. I have an idea … $TSLA

Expect the US to follow suit with @elonmusk onboard. 👍
This is Javier Milei. He became president of Argentina and achieved what economists said was impossible. In a 2-hour interview with @lexfridman, he explains how he slashed 3,000+ regulations in 6 months. And why Elon & Vivek are taking notes: 🧵

Taiwan law bans TSMC from 2nm manufacturing abroad, so it must keep its most cutting-edge technology at home, media report, citing Minister of Economic Affairs J.W. Kuo. Asked if the US could require TSMC to make 2nm in Arizona, the minster said, “Since Taiwan has related regulations to protect its own technologies, TSMC cannot produce 2-nanometer chips overseas currently.” $TSM #semiconductors #semiconductor taipeitimes.com/News/biz/arc…

3 step plan to fix the economy: 1) cut government spending 2) no @federalreserve "shock treatments" - slow, steady policy 3) cut government regulations that "bedevil the economy" and dramatically slow economic growth - Milton Friedman
In this video from 1979, Milton Friedman gives his views on what the government should do to restore economic health to the US. Remarkably, more than 40 years later, his advice seems to ring true again. History doesn't repeat itself, but it often rhymes.

I can hear the West now...."it's a matter of..National security....." I call it ego and ignorance but @gave_vincent recent note "Prejudice and China" remarkably eloquent and sophisticated. It stands out as a must-read for those looking to shed their ill-informed thoughts on 🇨🇳
Vehicles manufactured in China. A friend from Germany informed me that, following a week of test driving, he opted for a Chinese electric vehicle and has been experiencing this high-end product at a minimal cost for the past six months. He would not want to be without it anymore.

In dozens of industries, Chinese companies are now leading their global fields. Yet in the West, the dominant view of China remains overwhelmingly negative. In this unlocked article, Louis-Vincent Gave considers the reasons for this skepticism and examines its potential costs: research.gavekal.com/article…

🇨🇳 Chinese Exports to the 🇺🇸 United States only make up 3% of China’s GDP. That’s why from a Chinese perspective the threat of tariffs, no matter which US President, only finds deaf ears. From First Principles, it doesn’t even make sense to care about such paper tiger.
