There was no Yom Kippur service - it was a ticketed event & the guest of honour was Mark Regev.
People were picketing him because he is a genocide defender.

Since this tweet has attracted considerable commentary, I know the Song Shul services were held at the Meridian Arts Centre. It is not uncommon to hold services during high holidays in similar locations (I attended one this year). @NEWSneil did not describe it as a synagogue, he wrote synagogue services. If this had been a full-time synagogue, some of the protesters' conduct would be criminal under the newly enacted Bill C-9.
As for Mark Regev as the guest speaker during services, the tweet's description of him is not dissimilar from his Wikipedia entry.
Simply put, I don't see anything inaccurate or deceptive in the tweet thread, and the CBCβs decision to jump to disciplinary action cannot be justified by its content.
