ಕಳೆದ ಕೆಲವು ದಿನಗಳಿಂದ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಜಾಲತಾಣಗಳ ವಿವಿಧ ವೇದಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹರಿದಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ಸ್ಟಿಂಗ್ ಆಪರೇಷನ್ ವಿಡಿಯೋಗೆ ನನ್ನ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಜೋಡಿಸಿ ಅಪಪ್ರಚಾರ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಇದು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಿ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ದುರುದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಚಾರಿತ್ರ್ಯಹನನ ಮಾಡುವ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನದಂತೆ ಕಾಣುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಈ ಸ್ಟ್ರಿಂಗ್ ಆಪರೇಷನ್ ವಿಡಿಯೋಗೂ ನನಗೂ ಯಾವುದೇ ಸಂಬಂಧ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಇದ್ದರೂ ಇದನ್ನು ಬಳಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಕೆಲವು ಕಿಡಿಗೇಡಿಗಳು ನನ್ನ ವಿರುದ್ದ ಅಪಪ್ರಚಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ತೊಡಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನ ಹೆಸರಿನ ಉಲ್ಲೇಖ ಇರುವ ಈ ಸ್ಟ್ರಿಂಗ್ ಆಪರೇಷನ್ ವಿಡಿಯೋ ಅನ್ನು ಯಾವುದೇ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆ, ಚಾನೆಲ್ ಇಲ್ಲವೇ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಜಾಲತಾಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕಟಣೆ ಇಲ್ಲವೇ ಪ್ರಸಾರ ಮಾಡದಂತೆ ತಡೆನೀಡಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಕೋರಿ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಸಿವಿಲ್ ಮತ್ತು ಸೆಷನ್ಸ್ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಅರ್ಜಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಈ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ನಿರಪರಾಧಿ ಎನ್ನುವುದು ನನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮಸಾಕ್ಷಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿದಿದೆ. ತೆರೆದ ಪುಸ್ತಕದಂತಿರುವ ನನ್ನ ಐದು ದಶಕಗಳ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಜೀವನದ ಅರಿವು ಇರುವ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಜನತೆಗೂ ಇದು ಗೊತ್ತಿದೆ ಎನ್ನುವ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸ ನನಗಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಆಧುನಿಕ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನದ ಯುಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಳ್ಳನ್ನು ಸತ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಬಿಂಬಿಸುವುದು ಸುಲಭದ ಕೆಲಸವಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮುನ್ನೆಚ್ಚರಿಕೆಯ ಕ್ರಮವಾಗಿ ನಾನು ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯದ ಮೆಟ್ಟಿಲು ಏರಿದ್ದೇನೆಯೇ ಹೊರತು ಉಳಿದಂತೆ ಯಾವ ಭಯವೂ ನನಗಿಲ್ಲ. ಅಂತಿಮವಾಗಿ ಸತ್ಯವೇ ಗೆಲ್ಲುತ್ತದೆ ಎನ್ನುವ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸವೂ ನನಗಿದೆ. ನಾನು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಅಭಿವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯದ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಇರುವವನು. ಇಲ್ಲಿಯ ವರೆಗಿನ ನನ್ನ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನೆಂದೂ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳ ಅಭಿವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಅಡ್ಡಿ ಪಡಿಸಿದವನಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ಕೆಲವು ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳು ಅಭಿವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯದ ದುರುಪಯೋಗ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅನಿವಾರ್ಯವಾಗಿ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯದ ಮೂಲಕ ಪ್ರಕಟಣೆ-ಪ್ರಸಾರಕ್ಕೆ ತಡೆಯಾಜ್ಞೆ ತರಬೇಕಾದ ಪ್ರಸಂಗ ಬಂದಿದೆ. ಈ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ನನಗೆ ವಿಷಾದವಿದೆ. ಈ ಸ್ಟಿಂಗ್ ಆಪರೇಷನ್ ವಿಡಿಯೋ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ನಿಷ್ಪಕ್ಷಪಾತವಾಗಿ ತನಿಖೆ ನಡೆಸುವಂತೆ ನಾನು ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ನಗರ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಆಯುಕ್ತರಿಗೂ ದೂರು ನೀಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಆ ತನಿಖೆಯಿಂದ ಸತ್ಯ ಹೊರಬರಲಿದೆ ಎಂಬ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸವೂ ನನಗಿದೆ. ಅಲ್ಲಿಯ ವರೆಗೆ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳು ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರು ಕೂಡಾ ಅನಗತ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಇಂತಹ ಸುಳ್ಳು ಸುದ್ದಿಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರಚಾರ ಮಾಡದೆ ಸತ್ಯದ ಪರವಾಗಿ ನಿಲ್ಲಬೇಕೆಂದು ಕೋರುತ್ತೇನೆ.
