The most terrifying thing about Noah's Ark still isn't the flood. It isn't even the boat. It's the door. Noah built it. God shut it. "And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the LORD shut him in." (Genesis 7:16) Shut from the outside. On the same day the rain started. Eight people inside. The same eight walked out a year and ten days later. Everybody else had a preacher of righteousness building a boat. They kept eating and drinking. A radar scan from Turkey is going around this week. Three layers beneath the surface, they say. The layers were never the point. The door was.

Jesus used the flood to describe His return. "For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be." (Matthew 24:38-39) They ate and drank until the day Noah went in. Genesis 7 puts the rain and the shut door on that same day.

Thank you, Charles. The verses do the considering. I just stop long enough to let one of them stare back.

Right. They had seven more days to turn and nobody did.

I've often thought about that door being open for 7 days and not 1 person came. Not 1.

Seven days of an open door and no takers. Then God shut it Himself.

I don't the door was shut from the outside, but from inside the Ark. The Hebrew word in Genesis 7:1 is "bo" (בֹּא), and it literally means "come" So this would be like you saying "Come into my house. I have cookies" instead of "Go into my house. I have cookies."

Bo means come, fair. Genesis 7:16 says the LORD shut him in.

Do you think they actually found it?

No. Wood doesn't sit on a mountain for 4,000 years.

"Shut from the outside." No sir! God shut the door from inside of the Ark. "And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark" God was with them the whole time 😊

The door was closed by God Himself, This must mean they want the door for something, because it may hold God's power? Grace? Maybe Holy Spirit? Not sure how to phrase it. I just hope, good chance it's just a door now nothing divine left, it's taken by good not evil.

This part....everyone reads past it "And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh"...Noah's ark is prophesying the last days, the ark is Christ, the flood is God destroying all that's unholy...I'm reminded of Romans 1:18;21; 24; 28-30
