absolutely miles off it
📆 On this day, 6 years ago, the Leeds United admin told their fanbase not to go to bed, teasing them of a new signing.
But instead of announcing a major new signing, the club waited until 10:51 PM - just 9 minutes before the transfer window shut - to announce the sales of two strikers:
▪️ Matt Smith to Fulham
▪️ Dominic Poleon to Oldham Athletic
No incoming players arrived. 😲🤣

England boss Thomas Tuchel has explained that James Trafford will start two of England's four matches in this international break. Jordan Pickford will start the other two. Not a case of Pickford being dropped. Great opportunity for the #LUFC goalkeeper to stake his claim.

James Trafford has an 87% save percentage in all competitions for Leeds - that is the second best of any goalkeeper across Europe's big-five leagues this season, behind Elia Caprile of Cagliari (91%).
Caprile was an unused sub under Marcelo Bielsa eight times for Leeds. #lufc

No James, White, Spence (all injured). No Livramento (probably injured). No Walker, Trippier (retired). No Lewis (U21s). Unless Tuchel turns to a centre-back in Quansah or Konsa at right-back, he surely, surely has to play Alexander-Arnold against Spain? #ENG

That is 19 Premier League games kicking off before 3pm without a win for Leeds - the last was 3-0 v Chelsea in August 2022. Put the floodlights on next time and see if it helps. #lufc
