It's surprising how few people play real life like it's Starcraft. APM matters a lot. If you play life this way you will do well, because almost no one else is.

We release Whistle: speech to text in a 16.9MB file, running on the CPU in the same engine as Needle. It mostly beats Whisper base with 9x less file size and 6x speed. Whistle supports English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch and Polish. cactuscompute.com/blog/whist…

With everyone combining different games and mixing/matching them i set out to try something a bit more niche. Whats the FPS ceiling on minecraft for mac? The answer? ~1024 median fps at full native 5k res on my Apple Studio Display. I compared this to 20 of the top Minecraft performance mods and my singular perf mod is 8x faster at 0 quality cuts. Default settings.

the latent space of GPT-Image 2.5 needs to be studied
for those that don't grasp how crazy this is GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst vs Ideogram 4.5 and by the way it's likely just simple masking/in-painting but it still surprises me it's not the default for the majority of image editing models. you can tell it's in-painting because you can see the bush around my shoulder slowly turn into a line. it's the same reason my tattoos fade on why side of my arm (the closest to my t-shirt). no excuse for chopping of half of my head though. I'm going to have to try a workflow where I use this on every frame of a video.

Earlier today, ARIN fulfilled our request for an IPv4 /22 via their IPv4 Waiting List. We now own the following IP space: 2602:F4D9::/36 23.149.124.0/24 23.149.125.0/24 206.220.120.0/22 Our initial 2x IPv4 /24 were quickly obtained via NRPM 4.10 for our ns1 and ns2 anycast DNS.

I was a programmer my entire life, worked extremely hard, very successful, my code made millions… Last night, I spoke to Xcode and told it to create a Swift app for MacOS that had a drop zone for HTML files and to convert the animation into 4k still screenshots and assemble them into a ProRes 422 .MOV. Kept editing in Final Cut Pro and 20 minutes later, 2400 lines of code were written and it works absolutely beautifully. It added common quality of life features without asking. I do not recommend anyone start down the traditional programming path. AI is the disruptive technology that turns entire industries upside down. Learn accordingly.
vibecoders fuck off and go to hell if you use generative AI to program for you, you're not a programmer
