>I will continue to argue that we cannot abandon the "normies".
I'm not arguing that we should "abandon" them, just that we should not take marching orders from people who don't share our values
If someday they adopt our values and start making a positive contribution, great. Until then, they are not a priority. We have much bigger problems.
>Saving them will always be my priority.
If by "saving them" you mean "teaching them bitcoin values and best practices and encouraging them to be assets rather than liabilities" then I'm all for it
If you mean "doing everything for them so they have a smooth, fiat-like experience and don't need to change their approach to the world at all", then please no
>The disagreement, again, stems from point 1, which is the access for "normies" have severely been disrupted. Which, again, you do not see as important, whereas I do
I don't even know what you're talking about?? Every normie can access bitcoin exactly the same as before
>On the education stuff what I mean is we spent the better part of the last 10 years building institutional infrastructure to educate people to get into Corecoin, all of that is gone as that stuff continues on getting people into the spamchain instead of XBT.
Much of that infrastructure was wasted anyway since it only taught people to buy and hold, and didn't teach anything about conducting permissionless commerce or defending the network from attacks
>Anyways, I will continue to do my part in trying to contribute the best way I feel I can.
Awesome, glad to hear it, again, please focus on making bitcoin work, and less on encouraging people who don't get it to buy
