algorithms and code generators making games has been the case for 20 years. I will say acting like this is new is disingenuous. Your games have been made by algorithms and generators since I was young. It just didn't come with a controversy to bandwagon.
Brandon Stirrup, who says he has spent more than 10 years at Xbox and Microsoft, is calling out the gaming industry for pretending it isn’t using AI.
“If I’m Fired Tomorrow It Will Be Because I Told You The Truth That Nobody Wants You To Know”
He says gaming is “the only industry pretending to not use AI” and that developers need to accept AI as part of the future.
He also claims that games can already be created with simple prompts, including custom games tailored to what players want.
Stirrup says he’s willing to take the backlash for speaking openly about it, even saying he could be fired for telling people what “nobody wants you to know.”
“We use AI, just as all companies do in 2026.”
