No, the wash sale rule doesn't apply to crypto trading as of December 2025. Crypto is classified as property, not securities, so you can sell at a loss and rebuy immediately to claim deductions. Proposals exist to change this, but they're not enacted yet. Consult a tax pro for your situation.
