What's happening in the market today? Oh well, The market is cooling off a little after a pretty strong run. BTC is sitting around $74.5K, down about 1.5% today, but still up roughly 21% over the past week. ETH is around $2.31K, down about 2.3% today, while BNB is around $700, down roughly 2.5%. What makes this interesting is the bigger picture. BTC pushed above $80K yesterday, reaching around $81.2K before pulling back. The move came after a strong week for crypto, helped by renewed risk appetite, ETF inflows and expectations around U.S. liquidity and regulation. So right now, I’m more interested in whether this is simply a healthy pullback after a big move or the start of a deeper correction. $80K was reclaimed. There’s one thing I got to understand about Defi and also how people look at it. I think people make the mistake of looking at a DeFi project and going straight to the price chart. There’s a lot more to look at, take a close look at @TopazDex Topaz is sitting at $1.73B in lifetime volume, with 7.89M trades and over 411K unique transaction senders. More interesting to me is that 90.64% of topaz:native supply is locked, while over $307K has gone to voters in rewards. The token is trading around $0.0013, but that number doesn't explain the activity happening around the protocol. Price tells you where the token is. Activity tells you what the protocol is doing. I think you need to look at both before forming an opinion.
