Hey mutuals, I have mostly stopped posting here and moved over to the sunny side of the street. If you wanna join, hmu in the DMs or just reply here and I can hook you up with a code. If you just "like" this I will interpret it as an endorsement of moving, not a request.

Well, if my zipper was gonna fail at a wedding, at least it was a wedding at a sex club

Visiting the National Mall is a walk in the park, but the distances can be deceiving. Walking from the Capitol to the Lincoln Memorial and around the Tidal Basin adds up to several miles. Be sure to pace yourself in the heat, take breaks, wear sunscreen & drink plenty of water.

Drink water. Take breaks (in the shade). Dress appropriately. Try not to do things in the hottest part of the day. If you spend most of your time in AC, don't jump right into strenuous outdoor activities in the heat. Be aware that certain medications make you more heat sensitive!

You CAN acclimate to heat, but certain temperatures are still gonna be rough, and you don't acclimate overnight. One of the ways your body adapts is by sweating more. You need fluids and salts to replace that, and you also just need to be okay with sweat as a bodily function!

I am at a Barbie-themed party and I realized how little pink I own. Plus I am working, so I threw on some khaki shorts and Vans with my staff shirt and am trying to summon my best Kenergy

Tonight's hotel Law & Order is SVU and now I am wondering if our girl Mariska gets good residuals because this show is on all the damn time (of course I am watching it on USA, which is owned by NBC)

You know what's fun? Finding a moment when the manager of a venue is not trying to do 5 things at once and telling them about the staff who have been particularly helpful (by name, ideally).

I use Google Labs and it keeps offering to have AI write my emails for me. Writing emails is one of the things I am good at! People text me to get me to write their emails for them! Get AI to make my schedules for me!

I saw some lady claiming that if people find Law & Order comforting it's a sign of drama but maybe for some of us it's NYC accents, sarcasm, and formulas

I really only watch L&O in hotel rooms, but it reminds me of my mother, not some chaotic/unstable childhood. Sometimes people just enjoy stuff!

I did a ton of laundry yesterday and also spent most of the afternoon working with T to construct a support structure for deer fencing for our raised beds and I am at that point of deliciously sore and tired where I feel suffused with love and affection for everyone

So there I am at the grocery store, in line for the restroom. Mask, no bra, "Trains Rights" t-shirt, men's Umbros. Dude waiting for his partner strikes up a Convo about how Sunday is a good time to hit up the grocery store, because it is less crowded.

I agree, and say "especially early in the morning" (because Costco at least definitely gets a post-church crunch) and he hits me with a "what religion are you, miss?" Fortunately, the other restroom became available at that moment so I was able to duck away, but WTF??

(now I will say that at 41 I do appreciate a "miss" over a "ma'am" but, comrade, this is not an appropriate line of conversation!)
