According to Fortune, Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino said the company is expanding beyond financial services into technology and infrastructure, with plans to develop AI applications for developing markets. The tools are expected to cover areas including health, finance and sports and run directly on smartphones using relatively lightweight models. Ardoino did not disclose a business model or launch timeline for the initiative and said Tether now has more than 650 million users worldwide.
