A Bush White House spokesman drops a bomb on CNN that nobody saw coming: Barack Obama got on the 2008 Indiana primary ballot with FRAUDULENT signatures. And he says it to Obama’s own strategist, David Axelrod, sitting three feet away. AXELROD: [Mocking] "In Arizona, [Trump] hired the cyber ninjas..." SEAT: “I’ll give you an example of where it [election fraud] has been determinative. And that’s in my home state of Indiana, Saint Joseph County. The gentleman you previously worked for, David Axelrod, Barack Obama got on the ballot because Democrats in that county submitted fraudulent ballot petition signatures. People, including the Democrat county chair, went to jail over that. Barack Obama should not have been on the primary ballot in the state of Indiana.” KINZINGER: “But that’s not a voting issue. Like that’s something—” PETE SEAT: “It is a voting issue because he was on the ballot and people could vote for him, and he shouldn't have been.” AXELROD: “How did how did that get determined?” SEAT: “It was finally exposed two years later. It went through the courts, and several people found themselves in jail. But that’s the problem. It didn’t happen. They didn’t find it before he was on the ballot. It took years after.” Pete Seat is right. In 2013, four Indiana Democrats were convicted for forging signatures on the 2008 presidential primary petitions, and county party chair Butch Morgan went to jail for orchestrating it. They literally copied names off old petitions, including a former governor who confirmed he never signed. Election fraud is not a conspiracy theory. It happens, and a county chairman of a major party sat in a jail cell for it.

A year and a half ago, I shared a video about UnitedHealthcare. It wasn’t just about my practice. It was about what happens when insurance companies stand between patients and the care they need. A lot has happened since then. Redbud Surgery Center is still out of network. Back in January, United’s CEO said he would personally look into the situation. I’m still waiting. Does it feel fair? No. But I’m not giving up. I will keep telling the truth about what patients experience. I will keep advocating for transparent, affordable, high quality care. And I will keep working to help fix a healthcare system that too often puts barriers between patients and the care they need. The reason I’m still here is in large part because of you. You have listened. You have shared these stories. You have believed in this mission. Thank you for standing with me. I’m not going anywhere.

I feel like this part of the report deserves it own headline. "Emory Decatur Hospital was one of the areas that experienced a power outage...systems were down.."

More people need to wake up to this. The arbitrage for biotech is not “does the science work” it’s based on whether or not regulators can withstand the public pressure from investors/ rare disease advocacy groups / hostile media that aren’t observers, but actual players in the field that are looking to get you fired.
FDA's only honest vaccine regulator was ousted by Moderna, a bunch of biotech investors like Martin Shkreli who bet on the wrong multimillion dollar rare disease drug, FDA bureaucrats who don't want to say no to any vaccines, and a pharma trade press full of people with personal resentment toward a skilled communicator with a biting critique of their terrible COVID reporting. The final press pile-on that did in Vinay Prasad was that he had the temerity to host a press conference. I thought reporters liked those? I guess not if you're writing for pharma rather than the public. This has been very clarifying for understanding why people in Vinay Prasad's position in the past have been steamrolled by pharma over and over again. If you say no to the wrong drug, you'll face a massive pressure campaign and termination. Seemingly incomprehensible decisions on Elevidys and Aduhelm suddenly make sense. We're witnessing the counter-example of what happens when the FDA doesn't blink. I could have talked to @AlexBerenson for much longer than one hour about what it all means, and feel that I personally omitted a lot of critical points. But it's a start, with more to come.

The Princess Bride (1987) never ages. It’s witty, romantic, and endlessly quotable. Cary Elwes and Mandy Patinkin performed their entire sword duel themselves after months of training, turning it into one of the most memorable fights in cinema history.

Our campaign is backed by 80+ sheriffs — Republicans, Democrats, Independents. They know who actually protects them. Abigail took AOC PAC money to defund police and voted to strip qualified immunity. If she won’t protect them, she won’t protect YOU.

JD Vance goes off script at the Ole Miss TPUSA event, choosing to speak from the heart instead. “I got this whole speech written and I’m not going to deliver any of what I had written, I’m just going to speak from the heart because that’s what Charlie would so often do.” Vance went on to deliver an electric address, closing with a powerful message that brought the crowd to their feet: “He was a person who particularly to the young people of this country, to all of you, he had the very best advice. And I think that is the most important way for me to honor Charlie, which is to repeat that advice.” “Charlie wanted all of you, whatever life path you chose, whatever career you chose, whatever you ultimately did for a living, Charlie wanted you more than anything to invest in the things that were worth having, to build a life that was worth building.” “And that started, the most important advice he ever gave you was fall in love, get married, and start a family.” “And I can’t honor Charlie without repeating that most important advice.”
