idk why I've been seeing a bunch of AI consciousness discord lately on twitter, but it's kind of a stupid debate.
We don't understand on any fundamental level what consciousness is or what causes it. Anyone who says otherwise is lying to you. I don't think AI is conscious, but I'm not gonna say decisively that it isn't because I couldn't possibly know.

Will we ever learn our lesson? There is value in scarcity. The joy of finding a great song from a niche artist, or seeing a great local band live. These feelings are so great BECAUSE you can't have it all the time

I am not joking when I say this.
Spotify, Apple Music, and streaming in general is over.
AI music is now very, very good. You just don't know yet because all AI music circulating today is from ~2-3 generations ago.
Suno v6 pro et al has solved infinite personalized music.

I don’t see it as a corporate brainworm. He isn’t thinking “what would the shareholders think”, he’s thinking “I have 25 people who don’t have jobs if I don’t bring in the money to pay for them”.
Hate fence sitting all you want, but I feel like a lot of people don’t understand the weight of employing other people. If you’re asking him to make sacrifices for speaking up for what’s right that’s fine, but you at least have to understand that he’d be making that sacrifice on behalf of other people.
