Pakistan’s banking industry has launched the Pasban Remittance Reward Scheme, offering Rs16bn in annual cash prizes to eligible remittance recipients.
The scheme is fully funded by banks and carries no burden on the national exchequer.
Eligible recipients must receive at least USD100 equivalent each month for three consecutive months. Higher remittances earn proportionately more entries.
Rs4bn will be distributed each quarter through 2,521 prizes, including a Rs100m first prize.
The first draw will be held on 15 January 2027 for remittances received from October to December 2026.
The initiative aims to encourage overseas Pakistanis to use formal banking channels for remittances.
