When someone insults progressive/left wing minded people with “oh the tolerant left” they’re under the assumption that tolerance is an act of charity. It’s not it’s earned by being decent to people. Conservatives wouldn’t know a thing about that.

Are you just ignoring the fact that Stephen king is relatively cool with the adaptations of his work unless stated otherwise. It feels like you’re trying to defend someone’s work when that person didn’t actually ask.

Framing Carrie as just a innocent girl who wanted a "normal life" completely sanitizes the terrifying reality of Stephen King’s original novel. She wasn't just a sweet kid pushed too far, she was a deeply warped product of extreme religious fanaticism, severe psychological abuse, and terrifying, latent power. By reducing her tragic breakdown to a sympathetic "she just wanted to fit in" teen drama trope, modern fans completely miss the raw, destructive horror of her isolation and unadulterated rage. Stop romanticizing her story into a soft high school tragedy. Read the book. #Carrie
All she wanted was a chance to study, enjoy school, and live a normal life like everyone else. #carrie

You can’t do both? I mean who’s to say people can’t frame Carrie in the book as a girl who just wanted to fit in but was unfortunately pushed too far. There were several girls I was friends with who had a similar experience to Carrie. Minus the telekinesis.

Which Batman villain movie was better… CLAYFACE or JOKER

Ok. Without recency bias. I’m gonna say Clayface. The thing about joker is while it’s good it takes a lot of taxi driver & king of comedy in ways that I think overshadow it. While Clayface does have inspiration from the fly or the substance & the Batman episodes feat of Clay it

Feels like it’s still very much its own thing. Plus Clayface doesn’t have a bad sequel that killed that ruined it.

I feel so pity for him he can't even retaliate back.😔

I’ve often held the belief that it was wrong on both counts. Rick never should’ve been abusing Terri and should’ve faced legal consequences. Having said that Paige spinner Jay Alex Jimmy & Emma shouldn’t have been bullying someone who was attempting to be better.

It’s great. Granted it’s not perfect which is any movie? I could’ve used 10-15 more minutes of Matt dealing with his trauma post mob attack but that’s my only criticism.

Why is Clayface in the Movie Matt Hagen instead of Basil Karlo? Matt Hagen and Basil Karlo are 2 different Clayfaces. Basil Karlo was a male actor and model whose face tragically got cut up. He then went through a procedure that made his face all melty and goopy. Basil Karlo is a normal human being with a Melty clay-like face. Matt Hagen on the other hand was an archeologist who turned into this brown mud monster who could Shapeshift and change forms Matt is the Superpowered Clayface. The one shown in the movie(10/10 btw) is a normal human super star and has a Melty Face in the trailer. His career and problem fit perfectly with Basil Karlo’s Clayface, so why do they call him Matt Hagen instead of Basil Karlo? #Clayface

Because the movie takes a lot of inspiration from the feat of clay episodes of Batman the animated series where they made Matt the main Clayface with the actor actor backstory.

Dude rotten tomatoes u need to get rid of some of your critics cause giving clayface anything above a 50 doesn’t know how to criticize. This is a bad movie. Why are so many critics giving it a pass

If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it…
"I'm coming after all of you. And hell's coming with me." that might be one of the best lines in the DCU

People are defending him…? 🤨
I’m glad #Clayface didn’t fall into the sympathetic villain trap other villain-centered projects have. You lose any shred of pity you had for him pretty quickly when you realize he’s always been messed up. It’s fun to watch him get revenge, but by the end, you want him to lose.
