If you work on SEO, check how your site appears on Brave Search. Brave Search has its own independent web index. That index also powers the Brave Search API, which AI apps can use to retrieve web results. Start with your brand name, your products, and the questions your customers ask. Do the results surface the pages you'd expect? Are those pages useful answers? You can also search using site: followed immediately by your domain for a spot check of results from your site. If a search returns outdated or unhelpful results, use the feedback icons on the results page and tell us what you expected to find. Specific examples help us understand where the results need work.

Take app, browser, and OS updates more seriously than ever. The economics of exploitation are changing fast. Brave desktop build 1.94.121 includes the Chromium fix for CVE-2026-85046 [a V8 vulnerability for which Google confirms an exploit exists in the wild]. Now connect that with OpenAI’s latest results. GPT-6 Astra scored 100% on ExploitBench. This benchmark gives an AI agent a known V8 vulnerability, source code, debugging tools and the patch (but no reference PoC). It measures progress toward arbitrary code execution. V8 is the engine involved in the browser bug above. My takeaway: as exploit development gets easier, delaying security updates becomes harder to justify. A published patch gives defenders a fix. It can also give attackers clues about how to exploit devices that haven’t updated. If Brave says “Relaunch to update,” do it now.

Coming in Brave Nightly relatively soon, is LaTeX rendering in Leo. LaTeX lets Leo render mathematical notation as properly formatted equations instead of plain text. That means fractions, exponents, integrals, matrices, Greek letters, and more can all be displayed in a clean, familiar format. This is awesome for students who are using Brave!
