College sports need a reset. Let’s get back to conferences that are logical geographically, let’s figure out a way to get players paid, and let’s figure out a way to get some common sense in eligibility rules. Right now it’s not sustainable and will collapse in on itself in 5 years or less.

Interesting way I heard it explained: have to have a North/South mentality on a field/court and avoid the East/West one.
In sport the instinct is to protect what you have by not taking risk. But that's the thing that often prevents a win. You go away from the thing that got you the advantage and so the opponent gets to grow in confidence because now they have nothing to lose and you're laying back. Better off going for the kill. Kill the game, then rest.

Someone who knows more about it can maybe explain to me why up 1 goal with 25 minutes left, you commit totally to letting a team with the GOAT and offensive subs pouring on have total control of the ball on their end with no resistance. Prevent defenses never work.
