I am forever bearish on such platforms, short term maxxing
It's hard for me to run this simulation in a way that doesn't end up with all traders leaving the platform within the year. The fundamental reality of high turnover, high dispersion trading always leads to most traders going bankrupt in the absence of a (temporary) rising tide.

Comparing NUMBER of trades is ridiculous.
People are wash trading all day on permissionless protocols. You can’t do that on NYSE….
Not even Apples and Oranges. Apples and Air Conditioners.
Compare notional. It will be a very different picture.
.@Uniswap settled 140 million trades in August, more than Cboe BZX and NYSE American combined.
NYSE American has been around since 1908. Uniswap launched in 2018.
Five years ago it was ~2 million trades a month.
Next rung up: NYSE Arca, at 232 million.

"Institutions are all excited about vaults, but when you ask them to put money in... whispers."
There is little institutional adoption of vaults. The long tail risk of smart contracts and oracles is something institutions are not willing to risk customer funds on.
