The nose-to-tail length of a Boeing 787 is 68 metres. The Bayeux Tapestry is 70. That’s 70 metres of hand-embroidered storytelling, depicting the events leading up to the Battle of Hastings and the Norman Conquest of England in 1066, with 600 characters, 500 animals, and more.

For over two years, @fr_British has been working with @RegionNormandie and British partners on Millennium 2027, a year-long celebration of Norman heritage across the UK. The loan of the Bayeux Tapestry is its opening chapter.
