Hagens situation is tough. I can see why they are hesitant to bring him up. I don’t think the see themselves as a contender and I don’t think they want to take the risk of burning a year on his elc when that 3rd year could be a contending year.

No one cares but my official statement on Auston Matthews is that it is not berubes system or injuries that are affecting his play. Players like Marner, Nylander and Tavares were still able to produce under his system and if he were injured he would’ve been shut down by now

In my opinion the guy has always been like this. When you look at how he scores majority of his goals they weren’t snipe shows. They were high danger chances from his linemates creating for him. The guy has never driven a line and this is evidenced through his playoff play.

His playoff issues come from Marner going quiet. Both one dimensional players which do not work in playoffs. Matthews will always need a playmaker and Marner will always need a finisher. This is why Nylander shows up in playoffs and they don’t as Nylander creates for himself.

It’s so funny that the NHL fanbase, for decades, used to be strictly dudes that chew tobacco and listen to limp bizkit and raise an entire family on 70k a year and then TikTok came out and now the fanbase is just dominated by the comment section of gay people that think you hate that their gay but nobody really cares that theyre gay it’s just that they’re kinda assholes and not pleasant individuals.
