I’ve got a feeling this has more to do with a sense of purpose being correlated with caffeine intake than coffee somehow being healthy. A sense of purpose has a huge effect on mortality in general.
People who drank more coffee had less body fat, less visceral fat, and more lean mass than less-frequent or non-drinkers.
The biggest benefit was seen at 5 or more cups per day.
And for men, every extra cup per day was associated with a ~10 ng/dL higher total testosterone. Higher coffee intake was also associated with better glucose and insulin regulation in men.
This was an observational study, but mechanistic and experimental evidence actually supports coffee's benefits on metabolic and hormonal health. I'm willing to believe there's a real link here rather than draw a conclusion such as "coffee drinkers live healthier lives in general."

Local mountain caught on fire a few years back, feds sent out a plane to check it out and had the ability to put the fire out right then. Instead they waited till it got out of hand. Rumor was that they hadn’t used up the fire budget that year and if they didn’t spend it then it would get reduced so they needed the fire to spend the funds on.
Perverse incentives are everywhere.
Thanks, Peter! This is the beginning of the end for destructive wildfires. In a country that loses ~$500B every year to wildfires, even tiny gains make for huge savings, to say nothing of the incalculable value of lives and homes.

Can Codex not ssh anymore? Trying to set something up on my local Linux box and ssh fails in Codex for the model and in the drawer, but not in the system.

With Codex careful with fast mode if you have one agent call others, an agent on fast mode can "infect" other agents into using fast mode as well.
So I run Luna xhigh or max to route roadmap work to either Sol or Astra, I like Luna on fast, but if it flips Astra to fast it's token meltdown time. @thsottiaux
