Chairman Bob Nutting welcomed them as Special Olympics USA Training Camp is taking place in Pittsburgh September 17–20 before Team USA goes to the 2027 Special Olympics World Games in Santiago, Chile. Tonight's Military Monday focused on honoring those who serve and recognizing their incredible strength. Pirates hosted four local families of fallen service members through a partnership with Tragedy Assistance Programs for Survivors. The families took part in a pregame on-field ceremony and participated in a ceremonial first pitch.

Players, coaches, and front office executives joined 55 Miracle League athletes from the Miracle League of Southwest PA this morning for one of our favorite events of the year, Miracle League Fantasy Camp.

This morning we joined the Miracle League of Southwest PA to host a Miracle League Fantasy Camp in Cranberry Twp. For more than 15 years, Pirates Chairman Bob Nutting and Pirates Charities have been proud to support Miracle League programs in the greater Pittsburgh region and beyond, providing athletes with special needs the opportunity to realize their dream of playing baseball, many of them for the very first time.

Brock's Bunch with Negro League Legacy Tarrik Brock, First Base Coach, gave the Josh Gibson Foundation Scholarship Award Winners an experience to remember at PNC Park! The annual college scholarships are awarded to high school seniors and student-athletes who demonstrate academic achievement, leadership, and community commitment. Each member got to experience views from the Pirates dugout and received a custom Pirates x Brock's Bunch t-shirt.

This week the Pirates and Citisports hosted the 2026 Pirates RBI Baseball and Softball Championship games at PNC Park. Hundreds of youth baseball and softball players from around the City participated in games during the three-day event.
