Phoenix had the edge in the first half, had the best chance with Makala Woods hitting the post anyway. All the new players have added quality, but especially Riley and Erceg, who had a key block on Keane. Lots of kids on the bench though, so feel like they need to score first.
Marisa van der Meer starts from the bench in Wellington Phoenix’s opener.
Esson; Barry, Walker, Erceg (c); Nunn, Jale, Yallop, Elliott; Riley, Woods, Vlok.
