Six months of media. What mattered, what it meant, what comes next. We’re launching Sector 180, CARMA’s new monthly media intelligence series looking across five key sectors: Automotive, Finance, Technology, Energy and FMCG. Each edition examines approximately 180 days of media coverage across the UK and US, tracking around 25 leading brands and taking a deeper dive into a selected group to understand not just who generated attention, but what shaped it and what communications teams should be watching next. First up: Automotive Sector 180. Across the first half of 2026, the sector was shaped by a series of overlapping pressures: Chinese competition becoming a permanent part of the media landscape, growing legal and security scrutiny, and a broad retreat from previous electrification commitments. And one of the clearest findings? Attention was abundant. Credibility was not. Tesla, BYD, Jaguar and Porsche were all highly visible, but for very different reasons, with the report showing how visibility and positive positioning can diverge significantly. The report explores the wider competitive landscape, the five forces shaping the sector, and the communications lessons emerging from the data. Sip, swap and switch off for a little while 🍵📚 Last week, the CARMA Dubai team came together for Sip & Swap, an afternoon of matcha, book swapping and good conversations away from our screens. A simple idea: bring a book you’ve enjoyed, swap it for something new and spend some time catching up with the people you work with every day. Because sometimes the best team moments happen over a good book and an even better cup of matcha. Here’s to more moments that bring us together at CARMA. #LifeAtCARMA #CARMA #SipAndSwap #TeamCulture #Dubai
